Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
Please note this will work for 325i Coupe or Sedan only. Many vehicle variations, i.e. the E36 will not work with this mount. Please call if you have compatibility questions.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: # 2 Phillips screw driver.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM, instructions.
LOCATION: To the right side of climate control computer.
STEP 1.
Begin by removing the climate control module. Insert hand, palm up, into compartment
below module. Insert finger into hole in top of compartment, pushing up and out on mod-
ule. The module will snap out. Lay to left side of console (DO NOT disconnect wiring.)
Remove compartment by inserting finger, pulling up and out. This will pivot up from shifter
console. Set aside.
STEP 2.
Remove screw inside dash housing on right and push bracket to the rear. Remove screw
holding right side trim panel. This allows panel on right side to open slightly to insert
Pro.Fit VSMTM.
STEP 3.
Remove screw at upper right corner of trim panel. Attach phone hang-up cup to
Pro.Fit VSMTM. From the right side of console, slide Pro.Fit VSMTM through the seam of the
right trim panel. Position in relief cut out. The Pro.Fit VSMTM should be positioned on top of
trim bracket. Replace Phillips screw and tighten.
STEP 4.
Replace the other screw in housing bracket. Replace upper trim screw, put compartment back
into place, and replace climate control module.
