Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: Phillips screwdriver, 5/64 drill bit, drill, small standard screwdriver.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMŪ, instructions, three (3) #6x3/8screws.
LOCATION: To the right side of heater control panel.
STEP 1.
Begin by removing small maintenance cap between slide controls
on heater panel. Remove screw under cap. Insert standard
screwdriver between top of heater control and dash. Gently pry
heater control panel out. Disconnect harness from back of panel.
Set panel aside.
STEP 2.
Attach hang-up cup onto Pro.Fit VSMŪ. Position VSMŪ on
right side of heater control cavity. Bottom edge of Pro.Fit
VSMŪ should be flush with top of radio.
STEP 3.
Using Pro.Fit VSMŪ as a guide, mark holes for three (3)
mounting screws. CAREFULLY drill three (3) pilot holes.
Position VSM over holes and attach with screws provided. Do not
over-tighten.
STEP 4.
Reassemble by reattaching wire harness to heater control,
replacing control in cavity and replacing screw and maintenance
cap.
