Radio Repair Information

Satellite radios go bad. It's an unfortunate and unavoidable part of owning electronics. The good news is that at TSS Radio we have a capable and talented technician who can repair some of the most common issues that arise saving you the hassles of having to replace your set-up with all new equipment.

If you are having issues with your satellite radio check below for radios and their associated repairs. To contact our technician, please send an e-mail to sales@tss-radio.com with as much detail on your problem as possible. Generally speaking, repairs cost $50 which includes the repair,any parts if needed, and return shipping to you.

If you don't see your radio send us an e-mail anyway with a description of your problem and we will let you know if it's something we can repair.

  • Replace Headphone Jack - If audio is missing on the left, right, or both channels.
  • Replace Cracked Screen - We usually can't replace the front plastic but will if the parts are available.
  • Replace Dial Assembly - For broken/non-responsive dial, buttons, or both. (when parts available)
  • Reflow Dock Connector -  When signal can not be obtained with dock or antenna headphones but internal antenna does pick up signal

  • Replace Screen - We usually can't replace the front plastic but will if the parts are available

  • Antenna Not Detected/Constant Acquiring Signal which can be temporarily resolved by pushing and pulling forward and backward on the radio can be repaird by resoldering the dock connection
  • Dead, Missing Pixel, Broken LCD screen - Replacable when parts available.

  • Antenna Not Detected/Acquiring Signal Constantly - Can repair both bad tuners and bad dock connections
  • Flickering/Dead Backlight - Can repair both
  • Dead or Missing Pixels Screen - Can replace when parts are available
  • No Best of XM Support - Can replace internal tuner with Best of capable tuner
Starmate 1/2 Repairs
