Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: Hook tool, #2 Phillips screwdriver, 5/64 drill bit and drill.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSM® custom mount, #8x1/2 screw, instructions.
LOCATION: To the right of the radio.
STEP 1. Begin by removing the long trim bezel that runs hori-
zontally from the steering column across the dash and over to the
passenger side door. This is held in by five (5) clips that run hor-
izontally across the dash and four (4) clips that surround the radio.
Insert the hook tool behind the bezel on the far right by the pas-
senger side door. Carefully pull toward you to release the first
clip. Grasp the bezel and carefully work the remaining clips loose.
The climate control will come out with trim the bezel. Disconnect
all wiring to the bezel and set the bezel aside.
STEP 2. Using #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove four (4) screws
holding radio in place. Pull radio partially out. Do not disconnect
any wiring as the radio is connected to an anti-theft system.
Mount the phone holder onto the Pro.Fit VSM®.
STEP 3. The mounting hole in the Pro.Fit VSM® will use the
screw that holds the lower right hand corner of the radio in posi-
tion. Place the Pro.Fit VSM® behind the mounting tab for the
radio aligning both holes. Slide the radio back into position. Insert
the factory screw and tighten. Using the remaining hole the
Pro.Fit VSM® as a guide, carefully drill one pilot hole with the
5/64 drill bit and drill. Insert and tighten the provided screw. Re-
install the three (3) remaining factory radio screws and tighten.
STEP 4. Re-assemble the bezel securing all clips and wiring.
