Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: Allen head wrench, Phillips screw driver, 5/64" drill bit, drill, and DIN
tools (Ford radio removal tools)
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSM®, instructions,one (1) 3/8" screw.
LOCATION: To the right of climate control unit.
STEP 1.
Begin by removing the radio. Carefully insert DIN tools into holes on face of radio approxi-
mately 1/2" or until you hear them click and feel a catch. (DO NOT insert too far, this can
damage release clip!) Apply gentle pressure outward (apart) on both tools and carefully pull
radio out of dash cavity. Do not disconnect wiring as this will activate security system.
Remove trim bezel surrounding radio by carefully grasping edges and pulling to unsnap
from dash.
STEP 2.
On right side of Climate Control, remove clip secured by allen head screw. Position top
hole in Pro.Fit VSM® over screw hole and mark lower mounting hole location. Attach
phone hang-up cup to Pro.Fit VSM®.
STEP 3.
CAREFULLY drill 5/64" starter hole. Secure Pro.Fit VSM® by replacing clip, allen screw,
and with screw provided. Replace trim bezel and slide radio back into position.
