Honda Accord 1998-2002 Custom Mount

Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.

We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.

TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, small flat screwdriver.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM mount, instructions.
LOCATION: To the right of the radio.
STEP 1. Begin the installation by removing the trim bezel that surrounds the
radio. To do this locate two (2) Phillips screws that are underneath the radio
holding the trim bezel in place. Remove these screws with your #2 Phillips
screwdriver. Set screws aside. Remove the digital clock/emergency flasher mod-
ule that sits in between the two (2) air vents on the bezel. To do this insert your
small flat head screwdriver just below the lower right corner of module.
Carefully pry upward until clip releases. Do the same in the lower left corner.
Grasp the module and pull it out of its cavity. Disconnect all wiring to the mod-
ule. Set module aside.
STEP 2. Locate one (1) Phillips screw that sits behind the clock module and
remove it with your #2 Phillips screwdriver. Set screw aside. Grasp the top of
the trim bezel with your hands and pull toward you releasing two (2) top clips.
Continue working the bezel all the way around releasing the two (2) side clips
and two (2) bottom clips. Once the bezel is loose remove all the wiring to the
climate control. NOTE: The climate control is integrated into the bezel. Set the
bezel aside.
STEP 3. Locate and remove four (4) screws holding the radio in place using your
#2 phillips screwdriver. Set screws aside. Grasp the radio with your hands and
pull out of position. Lift the radio up and set the radio back inside the radio cav-
ity. Let the radio rest inside the cavity. Do not disconnect wiring to radio.
Locate one (1) gold-colored Phillips screw that is to the right of the radio.
Remove this screw with Phillips screwdriver. Install hang-up cup onto Pro.Fit
VSMTM . Align the hole in the Pro.Fit VSMTM with that screw hole. Insert the
gold-colored factory screw and tighten with your Phillips screwdriver.
STEP 4. Replace the radio and four screws that hold it in place. Tighten down
radio with Phillips screwdriver. Replace trim bezel in reverse order securing all
wiring, clips and screws.
