Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: 5/64" drill bit, drill, 9/32" socket & ratchet, # 2 Phillips Screwdriver.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM, instructions,three (3) #8x1/2" screws.
LOCATION: Upper left corner of glove box.
STEP 1.
Begin by opening glove box door. Remove glove box door
by turning locking mechanisms inside on left and right sides
of glove box. The Pins will drop out. Carefully lower the
glove box door down. With 9/32 socket and ratchet,
remove six (6) bolts [one (1) at top of right side, one (1) at
top of left side, two (2) inside towards back, and two (2) by
locking mechanism located inside glove box.]
STEP 2.
Grasp the black plastic inner shell and pull downward to
release two (2) clips located to the left of left and right of
right rubber bumpers. Tray will drop out.
STEP 3.
Install hang up cup on Pro.Fit VSMTM. Insert Pro.Fit
VSMTM into cubby hole to the left of clip on left side. Hold
tightly in place. Using the Pro.Fit VSMTM as a guide, drill
three (3) pilot holes with 5/64" drill bit and drill. Insert pro-
vided screws and tighten with #2 Phillips screwdriver. Re-
install glove box parts.
