Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: 5/64 drill bit, drill, 9/32 socket, ratchet, #2 Phillips screwdriver,
hook tool.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM, one (1) #8x1/2 screw, instructions.
LOCATION: To the right of the radio.
STEP 1.
Begin by using hook tool to remove trim bezel surrounding
radio. Start on right side of trim bezel, between bezel and
dash pad. Work around bezel, releasing plastic clips. Plastic
clips release easily by pulling on bezel. Remove entire trim
bezel.
STEP 2.
Install hang-up cup onto Pro.Fit VSMTM. Using 9/32 sock-
et, remove one (1) screw to right of radio. Place Pro.Fit
VSMTM over radio mounting tab. Larger hole in Pro.Fit
VSMTM (center hole) will go over the top of centering pin on
tab.
STEP 3.
Once Pro.Fit VSMTM is in place, reinstall and tighten factory
screw. Mark hole for upper screw and drill with 5/64 drill
bit. Insert one (1) 1/2" provided screw. Replace trim panel.
