Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, 90 degree hook tool, 8mm socket, extension,
and ratchet.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM and instructions.
LOCATION: Right of the radio and climate control.
STEP 1.
Begin by removing the trim bezel that surrounds the radio, cli-
mate control, two(2) air conditioning vents, and ignition switch.
Insert 90 degree hook tool behind lower right corner of bezel,
between bezel and dash pad. Work hook tool around, pulling off
trim bezel and unsnapping a total of eight (8) clips. Disconnect
wiring for 4-way hazard switch. Set trim bezel aside.
STEP 2.
Locate and remove the hex head bolt located on the lower right
side of the radio mounting bracket. Locate and remove the four
(4) screws holding the climate control in position. Loosen but do
not remove the climate control.
STEP 3.
Place top hole of Pro.Fit VSMTM over screw hole in lower right
hand corner of the radio, behind mounting tab on radio. Lower
hole in Pro.Fit VSMTM will align with upper right Phillips screw
hole from the climate control unit. Place climate control unit back
into position. Replace screws and tighten.
STEP 4.
Re-install trim bezel, re-connecting any wiring that was discon-
nected. Install hang-up cup onto Pro.Fit VSMTM.
