Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: Hook tools, 5/64 drill bit and drill, # 2 Phillips screwdriver, marking pen.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM, instructions, four (4) #6 x 3/8 flat head beveled screw.
LOCATION: Right of radio
STEP 1. Begin by removing the trim pad to the right of the radio.
(See photo # 1). Insert a hook tool behind the upper corner of the
pad and pull out slightly, releasing a retainer clip. Work the hook
tool around the pad until all six (6) clips are released. Set pad
aside.
STEP 2. Align the Pro.Fit VSMTM below the clip hole. (See
photo # 2). Using the VSMTM as a guide, mark the location of the
four (4) mounting holes. Set the VSMTM aside. Using a 5/64
drill bit and drill, drill four (4) pilot holes at the marked locations.
Position the VSMTM over the pilot holes, insert four (4) # 6 x 3/8
flat head beveled screws and tighten. Reassemble the dash in
reverse order.
