C70 1998-2004 Custom Mount

Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.

We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.

TOOLS REQUIRED: Drill, 5/64 drill bit, #2 Phillips screwdriver, protective towel, marking pen.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSM®, three (3) #6x3/8 bevel head screws, instructions.
LOCATION: To the right of the climate control.
STEP 1.
Depress two (2) vertical tabs on the face of the radio. This will
cause tabs to spring out. Carefully pull on tabs to remove radio
from cavity. Let radio hang to left, resting on protective towel. (Do
not disconnect wiring) .
STEP 2.
Remove climate control by inserting your hand inside radio cavity,
grasping climate control from behind, and gently push out using a
up and down wiggle motion. NOTE: These clips can be hard to
release. Four (4) clips will be released two (2) on top and two (2)
on bottom. Push out completely and set aside.
(Do not disconnect wiring).
STEP 3.
Locate the flat spot on the right side of the climate control cavity.
Place Pro.Fit VSM® to the rear of flat area in cavity and use mark-
ing pen to mark holes using the Pro.Fit VSM® as a guide. Set
Pro.Fit VSM® aside. Using 5/64 drill bit and drill, drill pilot
holes.
STEP 4.
Install the phone holder onto Pro.Fit VSM®. Align Pro.Fit VSM®
with pilot holes. Insert and tighten the provided screws. (MAKE
SURE SCREW HEADS ARE FLUSH WITH MOUNT) !
STEP 5.
Re-install the climate control making sure the clips hook and lock
the climate control back into place. Reinstall radio.

PLEASE READ COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING THIS Pro.Fit VSM®.
All instructions assume a drivers seat vantage point. Caution is advised when removing and reassembling
wood or plastic parts of a dash. Applying unnecessary force or pressure may cause a piece to crack or break.
Pro.Fit logo and part number will be right side up and readable when installed.
TOOLS REQUIRED: Hook tool, T-15 Torx driver, 5/64 drill bit & drill, 1# Phillips screwdriver, marking pen.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSM®, instructions, three (3) #6x3/8 bevel head screws.
LOCATION: To the right of the climate control.
STEP 1.
Locate the three control knobs on the climate control. Remove the
two outside knobs by grasping them firmly and pulling toward
you. Set the knobs aside. Behind both knobs locate two Torx
screws. Remove the screws using the Torx driver. Set the screws
aside. Insert the hook tool inside and behind one of the control
Torx screws
knob holes and pull toward you. This will remove the front sec-
tion of the climate control from its cavity. Disconnect all wiring
and set the unit aside.
STEP 2.
Locate the flat spot on the right side of the climate control cavity.
Place Pro.Fit VSM® to the rear of flat area in cavity and use
marking pen to mark holes using the Pro.Fit VSM® as a guide.
Set the Pro.Fit VSM® aside. CAUTION: Be careful not to dam-
age the control knob stem when drilling. Using 5/64 drill bit
and drill, drill three pilot holes.
STEP 3.
Control knob stem.
Install the phone holder onto Pro.Fit VSM®. Align the Pro.Fit
VSM® with the pilot holes. Insert and tighten the provided screws.
(MAKE SURE SCREW HEADS ARE FLUSH WITH
MOUNT) !
STEP 4.
Re-install the front section of the climate control securing all
wiring, screws and control knobs.
