Catera 1997-1999 Custom Mount

Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.



We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.



TOOLS REQUIRED: # 2 Phillips screwdriver, small flat screwdriver, telescopic magnet, flashlight,
protective cloth.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM, instructions.
LOCATION: To the right of the radio.
STEP 1.
Begin by setting the emergency brake. Shift transmission into
first gear. Open ashtray compartment. Locate and push to the
right a button on the right of ash tray insert. Pull insert up and
out to remove. Set aside. Using a flash light, #2 Phillips screw-
driver and telescopic magnet, locate and remove Phillips screw
located behind ashtray compartment near center. Pull out and
remove ashtray/lighter plug module. Set aside.
STEP 2.
Locate and remove two Phillips (2) screws inside cigarette lighter
cavity which hold radio trim bezel in place. set screws aside.
Locate and work off with small flat screwdriver two (2) plastic
caps located on the left and right sides of the bezel between func-
tion buttons. Remove Phillips screws located under caps; set
screws aside. Grasp bezel with hands and pull back to remove.
Do not disconnect wiring. Use a protective cloth between the
bezel and the center console. Let bezel rest on center console.
STEP 3.
Locate and remove two (2) Phillips screws to the right of radio
inside of radio cavity. Align Pro.Fit VSMTM with screw holes.
Reinsert and tighten factory Phillips screws.
STEP 4.
Install hang-up cup onto Pro.Fit VSMTM. Reassemble dash in
reverse order.
