Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: Hook tool, #2 Phillips screwdriver, marking pen, 5/64 drill bit, drill.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSM®, two (2) #10x5/8 screws, instructions.
LOCATION: To the right of the radio.
STEP 1.
Begin by removing radio trim bezel surrounding radio and tem-
perature control unit. To do this, insert hook tool in upper right
hand corner of bezel between bezel and dash pad. Pull back to
release right clip. Repeat on left side to release left clip. Repeat
two (2) more times along sides of bezel near middle right and near
middle left to release two (2) more clips. With both hands, simul-
taneously grasp bottom left and right sides of bezel and pull back
to release remaining two (2) bottom clips. Set trim bezel aside.
STEP 2.
Locate upper right corner clip hole. Align Pro.Fit VSM® with
plastic lines on flat spot to the right of this clip hole. Using mark-
ing pen, mark two (2) pilot holes using Pro.Fit VSM® as a guide.
Set Pro.Fit VSM® aside. Using 5/64" drill bit and drill, drill
pilot holes. Align Pro.Fit VSM® with pilot holes. Using Phillips
screwdriver, insert and tighten provided #10x5/8" self-tapping
screws.
STEP 3.
Reinstall trim bezel. Install hang-up cup onto Pro.Fit VSM®.
