Ford F-Series Pickup 1987-1991 Custom Mount

Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.



We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.

TOOLS REQUIRED: 9/32 socket, utility knife, marking pen, small file, protective tape.

LOCATION: To the right of the radio
STEP 1.
Begin by opening ash tray. Turn palms up and spread fingers equally
across bottom decorative trim ring. Gently grasp bottom of decorative
trim ring (around climate control and radio) and pull toward seat. Work
completely around trim ring until it release from dash.
STEP 2.
Remove two (2) screws on the right side of the radio. The Pro.Fit
VSM® will be attached with these two (2) screws.
STEP 3.
Align Pro.Fit VSM® with screw holes. *NOTE the face panel has a
raised plastic rib which comes in contact with the Pro.Fit VSM®.
Mark the rib at the top and bottom of mount with marking pen. Remove
Pro.Fit VSM®, put protective tape to the right of rib, and score
between these marks with utility knife about 1/8 or flush with face
panel. CAUTION! Be careful not to damage the visible surface of the
face panel. It is helpful to score the rib in several places between marks
(approximately 1/8 or flush with face panel.) CAREFULLY file surface
clean. *NOTE, removing this segment of the rib allow the trim ring to
lie flat without visible alterations.
STEP 4.
Attach phone hang-up cup onto Pro.Fit VSM®. Slide Pro.Fit
VSM® behind right side of radio and replace screws holding mount and
radio.
STEP 5.
Replace decorative trim ring around climate control and radio.
