If you hear excessive static or find the need to constantly change FM stations as you listen to your SIRIUS Satellite Radio while driving, the FM Direct Adapter can be an easy, cost-effective solution. It directly connects to the the FM output on most Sirius car docks to the FM antenna of your vehicle. As a result, nearly all static is eliminated.
NOTE: The FM DIRECT ADAPTER will disable your ability to listen to FM/AM stations while your Sirius receiver is 'turned on'. You MUST TURN OFF your Sirius receiver to listen to local FM/AM stations.
NOTE: Some vehicles require an additional FM Antenna Adapter for installation of the FM Direct Adapter. Please see the information and compatibility chart below.

The FM Direct Adapter is compatible with most SIRIUS branded radios/docks and many newer XM Radios that feature a 'FM Out' port.
The photos below show the FM Out port on common SIRIUS and XM radio car docks.
The FM Direct Adapter requires the removal of your car stereo for installation. The diagram and video below illustrate a general installation.
NOTE: Some vehicles require an additional FM Antenna Adapter to install the FM Direct Adapter. The photos below show a standard FM antenna connection (as found on the FMDA25) as well as NON-standard FM antenna connections.
