Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, 9/32" socket and ratchet, and 1/2" deep socket.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM, instructions.
LOCATION: Above and to the right of the climate control.
STEP 1.
Using the #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove three (3) screws
along top and three (3) screws along the bottom of the trim
bezel that surrounds the dash instrument cluster. Set screws
aside. NOTE: Conversions or units with rear heat fan
switch. Fan switch must be removed from trim bezel. First
remove knob on switch (most are held on by a tension
release clip.) Apply outward pull on knob to remove. Using
1/2" deep socket, remove retaining nut. Remove trim bezel
and set aside.
STEP 2.
Using the 9/32 socket and ratchet, remove the screw that is
just above and to the right of the climate control. Install your
hang-up cup onto the Pro.Fit VSMTM. Place Pro.Fit VSMTM
over this screw hole and line up the hole coming off of the
tab directly above. Insert and tighten factory screw. The
upper hole is for one of the screws removed from the dash
trim bezel and will be secured when the trim bezel is rein-
stalled.
STEP 3.
Re-install the fan switch if applicable. Re-assemble the dash
in reverse order securing all screws.
