Grand Cherokee 1992-1995 Custom Mount

Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.

We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.

TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, drill and 5/64" drill bit.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSM®, instructions, one #8x3/8screw.
LOCATION: To the right of the climate control.
STEP 1.
Begin by removing the ashtray. Set ashtray aside. Remove six (6) screws
holding dash trim bezel surrounding radio and climate control using
your Phillips screwdriver. Two (2) at top, two (2) in middle and two (2)
inside the ash tray cavity. Set the screws aside and let the bezel rest to
the right of the center console. Remove three screws that hold the cli-
mate control in place. Set screws aside. Do not try to remove the cli-
mate control at this point. Remove three screws that hold the informa-
tion display unit that is located just below the climate control unit. Set
screws aside. Slide the display unit out of its cavity enough to access a
fourth screw behind the display unit that holds the climate control in
place. Set screw aside. Grasp the climate control unit and pull it out of
its cavity.
STEP 2.
Attach phone hang-up cup to Pro.Fit VSM®. Position Pro.Fit VSM®
under right tab of climate control (centering pin goes through bottom
hole of Pro.Fit VSM®.) Slide the climate control back into place.
Replace original factory screw and tighten. Replace the remaining three
factory screws that hold the climate control in place.
STEP 3.
CAREFULLY drill starter hole in uppermost hole of Pro.Fit VSM®
using your 5/64 drill bit and drill. Insert the screw provided and tight-
en. Replace the display unit and secure with factory screws.
STEP 4.
Replace the trim bezel and tighten the six (6) factory screws. Replace
ashtray.
