Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: Hook tool, Phillips screwdriver, 5/64 drill bit, drill.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM, one (1) #8x1/2 screw, instructions.
LOCATION: To the right of the climate control.
STEP 1.
Begin by removing the trim bezel surrounding the climate control
and windshield wiper control. Tilt steering wheel down. Starting
in upper right corner of trim bezel, insert hook tool between dash
pad and trim bezel and pulling on hook to to release clip.
Continue working hook tool around trim bezel, releasing remain-
ing clips. Set trim bezel aside.
STEP 2.
Locate three (3) screws to the right of the climate control. Using
the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw that is in the upper
right hand corner of this area. (This screw holds the lower right
corner of the trim bezel that surrounds the radio air conditioner
vents, and instrument cluster. Do not removed trim panel.)
Install hang-up cup onto Pro.Fit VSMTM.
STEP 3.
Place Pro.Fit VSMTM behind the trim tab of trim bezel from
which screw was just removed. Align the screw hole with the top
hole in Pro.Fit VSMTM. Replace factory screw and tighten.
Using 5/64 drill bit, drill starter hole for additional screw. Using
Phillips screwdriver, insert and tighten provided screw. Replace
trim bezel.
