Pro-Fit IF-71-03-L Custom Mount

Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort. Infiniti FX45 / FX35 (2003-2005)
TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, Dash Trim Removal Tool (DM-40-22), 5/64 drill bit and drill

LOCATION: Right of air vent
STEP 1. Insert the dash trim removal tool behind the trim
bezel, right of the radio. (Photo # 1). Pry outward to
release a retainer clip. Work the removal tool counter-
clockwise around the bezel until all clips are released.
(Note: The door covering the cassette player, below the
climate control is part of the radio / air vent bezel and
will come out with the radio unit.)

STEP 2. Slide the radio unit out of the dash and let hang
down, resting on a support placed below it. It is very
important that you do not let the radio hang freely and
that you do not disconnect any wiring. The flat ribbon
cable that is exposed is very fragile and expensive to
replace.
STEP 3. Place the Pro.Fit Legend against the dash pad,
right of the right air vent. (Photo # 2). The bottom of the
Legend will follow the contour of the dash when aligned
properly. Using the Legend as a guide, mark the location
of two (2) screw holes. Set Legend aside. Drill two (2)
pilot holes at the marked location using a 5/64 drill bit
and drill. Align the Legend over the pilot holes, insert two
(2) # 8 x 1/2 screws and tighten.

STEP 4. Re-assemble the dash in reverse order. To mount
a device to the Legend using the mounting tape, clean the
surface with the prep kit according to instructions.

GMC Canyon (2004-2006)
TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, Dash Trim Removal Tool (DM-40-22), 5/64 drill bit and drill

LOCATION: Right of radio


STEP 1.
Insert the dash trim removal tool behind the trim bezel,
above the right air vent. (Photo # 1). Pry outward to
release a retainer clip. Work the removal tool counter-
clockwise around the bezel until all clips are released.
Disconnect the wire harness on the back side of the bezel.
Set bezel aside.

STEP 2.
Place the Pro.Fit Legend against the dash pad above the
right corner of the radio, aligning the bottom of the
Legend with the small ledge . (Photo # 2).
Using the
Legend as a guide, mark the location of two (2) screw
holes. Set Legend aside. Drill two (2) pilot holes at the
marked location using a 5/64 drill bit and drill. Align the
Legend over the pilot holes, insert two (2) # 8 x 1/2
screws and tighten.

STEP 3.
Re-assemble the dash in reverse order, remembering to
reconnect the wiring harness.
To mount a device to the Legend using the mounting tape,
clean the surface with the prep kit according to
instructions. This completes the installation of your
Pro.Fit Legend.

Chevrolet Aveo (2004-2006)
TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, Dash Trim Removal Tool (DM-40-22), 5/64 drill bit and drill,

LOCATION: Right of radio

STEP 1. Insert the dash trim removal tool behind the upper
corner of the trim bezel left of the radio. (Photo # 1). Pry
outward to release a retainer clip. Work the trim tool
downward to release a second clip. Set bezel aside and
remove the right trim bezel in the same manner.

STEP 2. Remove four (4) 10mm screws that secure the radio
and small compartment below it. They are located at the
upper corners of the radio and the lower corners of the
compartment. Slide the radio out of its cavity and
disconnect the antenna lead. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE
WIRING TO THE RADIO. If disconnected, you need to get
the radio code from a Chevrolet dealer to make the radio
operable. Wrap the radio with a protective cloth and let it
hang down on the left side.
STEP 3. Align the legend left of the small compartment.
(Photo # 2). Using the Legend as a guide, mark the location
of two (2) screw holes. Set Legend aside. Drill two (2) pilot
holes at the marked location using a 5/64 drill bit and drill.
Align the Legend over the pilot holes, insert two (2) # 8 x
1/2 screws and tighten.

STEP 4. Re-assemble the dash in reverse order,
remembering to reconnect the radio antenna. To mount a
device to the Legend using the mounting tape, clean the
surface with the prep kit according to instructions.
This completes the installation of your Pro.Fit Legend.

Ford Focus (2005-2006)
TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, Dash Trim Removal Tool (DM-40-22), 5/64 drill bit and drill,
7mm nut driver.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit Legend, two # 8 x 1/2 screws, mounting tape, hardware pack, instructions
LOCATION: Right of radio

STEP 1. Apply parking brake and place gear shift into
neutral. Insert the dash trim removal tool behind the trim
bezel, above the upper-right corner of the radio. (Photo 3).
Pry outward to release a retainer clip. Work the removal
tool counter-clockwise around the bezel until all clips are
released. Disconnect the wire harness on the power port.
Do Not disconnect climate control wiring. Let bezel hang
down.

STEP 2. Remove the four (4) 7mm bolts that secure the
radio. (Photo1). There is one (1) at each corner. Slide the
radio out of its cavity and let hang down. Do Not
disconnect radio wiring.
STEP 3. Place the Pro.Fit Legend against the right side of
the radio cavity. (Photo 2). Using the Legend as a guide,
mark the location of two (2) screw holes. Set Legend aside.
Drill two (2) pilot holes at the marked location using a 5/64
drill bit and drill. Align the Legend over the pilot holes,
insert two (2) # 8 x 1/2 screws and tighten.
STEP 4. Re-assemble the dash in reverse order,
remembering to reconnect the wiring harness. To mount a
device to the Legend using the mounting tape, clean the
surface with the prep kit according to instructions.
