This package includes the Sportster Replay Receiver (SPR2) and an open box FM Direct Adapter. This receiver was manufactured after the date when the FCC changed the FM Transmitter regulations for SIRIUS Satellite Radio, therefore is has a weaker FM Transmitter built-in. We have included a FM Direct Adapter which allows you to make a direct connection to your vehicle's audio system-thus eliminating the need to transmit over an FM frequency wirelessly.

This package DOES NOT include the Car Kit. This package is meant for people who are replacing a broken/lost/stolen Original Sportster, Sportster Replay, or Streamer Replay receiver who already have the car kit and would like to avoid poor FM transmission.

NOTE: Although the FM Direct Adapter is fairly universal your vehicle may require an additional adapter in order to work with your specific car stereo. A PDF application chart for the FM Antenna Adapters can be found HERE.

WARNING, VIDEO AND FAQ

Warnings

NOTE: In order to comply with a FCC ruling, Sirius has weakened the FM transmission strength in any radio manufactured after 2006. This decrease in strength may hinder your listening experience, especially if you plan on using the FM transmitter to broadcast Sirius to your radio in an area with many competing FM stations.

Please listen to the following for an example of common sound issues related to the weaker FM transmitters.
