Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, 5/64" drill bit, drill, 9/32" socket and ratchet.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM, instructions, two (2) #8x1/2 screws.
LOCATION: To the right of the climate control.
STEP 1. Begin by removing complete dash trim bezel.
Remove two (2) screws at the top of the trim bezel and two
(2) down along side of the steering column. Set parking
brake, move gear selector into the drive position. CARE-
FULLY unsnap dash trim bezel from dash, (several clips are
holding bezel in place) disconnect all wiring that is con-
nected to bezel. Remove dash trim bezel and set a side.
STEP 2. Remove climate control unit by removing two (2)
screws above and two (2) below. Slide climate control out of
dash, but do not disconnect. Remove radio by removing two
(2) screws above and below. Slide radio out of dash, but do
not disconnect.
STEP 3. Position Pro.Fit VSMTM in upper right hand corner
of climate control cavity. Mark hole locations. CARE-
FULLY drill starter holes using 5/64" drill bit.
STEP 4. Attach hang-up cup to Pro.Fit VSMTM. Reposition
mount over starter screw holes. Using the two (2)
1/2"screws provided install Pro.Fit VSMTM into position.
STEP 5. Reinstall radio and climate control. CAREFULLY
reconnect all wiring onto dash trim bezel. Reinstall dash
trim bezel into dash cavity.
