Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: Hook tool, #2 Phillips screwdriver, 8mm socket, extension, ratchet.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM, instructions.
LOCATION: To the right of the radio.
STEP 1.
Begin by grasping and pulling to remove four (4) climate control
lever knobs. Remove face plate of climate control by inserting
hook tool in the climate control lever slots of the face plate and
gently pull plate off. Set face plate aside.
STEP 2.
Remove Phillips screw that holds trim bezel in place. Screw is
located in upper right corner of climate control. On upper left
hand corner of climate control, remove screw that is installed
upwardly (installed at a 45 degree angle to dash) which is holding
the left side of bezel. Using interior hook tool, insert between
upper right hand corner of bezel and dash pad, release clips and
pivot trim bezel towards you. This will allow you to release two
(2) tabs holding the bottom of bezel in place. Let hang to left side.
STEP 3.
Using 8mm socket, extension and ratchet, remove upper hex head
bolt that secures radio in position. Install hang-up cup onto
Pro.Fit VSMTM. Place top hole of the Pro.Fit VSMTM over bolt
hole and bottom hole over centering pin. Install and tighten hex
head bolt. Reinstall trim bezel. Reinstalling Phillips screws, face
plate, and climate control knobs.
