Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: 9/32 socket, ratchet and short extension, Phillips screwdriver, 5/64
drill bit and drill.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM, two (2) #8x1/2 screws, instructions.
LOCATION: Right of the climate control temperature sensor vent.
STEP 1.
Begin by removing the trim panel surrounding the climate control
and the message center. This panel reaches from the steering
column to the right side of the car. Work your fingers under trim
panel on far right outer edge. Pull to release clips. Disconnecting
wires will make the installation easier but is not necessary.
STEP 2.
Remove the 9/32 bolt located below the air bag and to the right
of the sensor vent. Place Pro.Fit VSMTM over the top of this hole.
Replace factory screw. Mark two (2) remaining holes. Drill pilot
holes. Insert and tighten provided screws. Tighten factory screw.
STEP 3.
Reassemble trim panel (re-connecting any wiring you may have
disconnected) and snap back into position. Install hang-up cup
onto Pro.Fit VSMTM.
