Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, flat file, masking tape, 5/64 drill bit and drill.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSM®, one (1) #8 x 3/4 screw, Instructions.
LOCATION: To the right of the auxiliary power supply.
STEP 1.
Begin by removing complete dash trim bezel. To do this, slide
cup holder out and remove one (1) screw on each side of cup
holder. Pull cup holder out and set aside. Pull ashtray out and
Remove one (1) screw on each side of ash tray. Pull ash tray out
of cavity and set aside. Set emergency brake. Move gear shifter
into drive position and tilt steering wheel down (if applicable).
CAREFULLY release and remove dash trim bezel, and set aside.
STEP 2.
Remove one (1) screw on the far right side of dash, to right of
auxiliary power supply. Position Pro.Fit VSM® over screw hole
and mark plastic rib which is under Pro.Fit VSM®. Place mask-
ing tape over dash panel on right side of rib to protect it when fil-
ing. CAREFULLY file away only the rib section under mount
with a flat file.
STEP 3.
Attach hang-up cup onto Pro.Fit VSM®. Reposition mount over
screw hole and replace and tighten screw. Drill pilot hole using
hole in Pro.Fit VSM® as a guide. The provided securing screw
is put in from the driver"s side toward the passenger side or from
left to right. Tighten provided screw. CAREFULLY reinstall
dash trim bezel and screws securing ash tray and cup holder
assemblies.
