Pro Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounts are made specifically to fit each vehicle. They use existing dash fittings so there is no need to alter the interior of your vehicle and they blend in well for a much cleaner and more finished look. The picture above shows where it installs in your car and included below are the installation instructions to give you an idea of how difficult it is to install into your vehicle (also, the pdf manual is available above by clicking on the pdf icon). On some cars the VSM can be easily installed without tools in a few minutes, in some cars it requires more effort.
We highly recommend using the Pro-Fit Easy Swivel in addition to the mount for clearance and tilting.
TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, 9/32 socket, ratchet, 5/64drill bit and drill.
PARTS INCLUDED: Pro.Fit VSMTM, one (1) #10x3/4screw, one (1) #8x3/4 screw, instructions.
LOCATION: Below climate control
STEP 1.
Begin by removing four (4) 9/32 bolts along the bottom of the
panel under the steering column. Release the six (6) retainer clips
on panel. There are three (3) clips on right and three (3) on left of
the steering column. Work your hand under the panel and gently
pull loose. Panel does not need to be completely removed. Let the
panel hang.
STEP 2.
Note - Step 2 must be followed exactly. Loosen the two (2) 9/32
bolts that hold the cup holder in place. Place Pro.Fit VSMTM into
position placing slots on right side of mount behind the factory
screws. IMPORTANT!!! DO NOT TIGHTEN BOLTS AT
THIS TIME!!! Apply upward pressure to mount, holding it up
against dash. Locate hole in Pro.Fit VSMTM that is to the left of the
U shaped cutout. Using 5/64 drill bit and drill, drill starter hole.
Insert and secure one (1) #8x3/4 screw. Using 5/64 drill bit and
drill, drill starter hole, in hole that is above and to the left of the
U shaped cutout in Pro.Fit VSMTM. Insert #10x3/4 screw and
secure. Tighten factory bolts resecuring cup holder.
STEP 3.
Re-install trim panel. Reinstall four (4) factory screws. Install
hang up cup onto Pro.Fit VSMTM.
