    Warnings

NOTE: In order to comply with a FCC ruling, Sirius has weakened the FM transmission strength in any radio manufactured after 2006. This decrease in strength may hinder your listening experience, especially if you plan on using the FM transmitter to broadcast Sirius to your radio in an area with many competing FM stations.

Please listen to the following for an example of common sound issues related to the weaker FM transmitters.

Common sound issues related to the weaker FM transmitter.

If you believe this may be an issue for you, or if you are experiencing sound quality issues with your current setup, we'd strongly recommend exploring the following options to directly connect your Sirius receiver to your car radio.

    Options for improving audio quality

    Good: The FM Direct Adapter

This will connect the SIRIUS receiver directly to your car's FM antenna giving you better sound with the quality of a strong FM station.

    • Sound Quality: Analog - FM Quality
    • Static Interference: Low
    • Decibel Loss: Moderate

A great solution if you have a cassette player in your car. It will provide the same quality sound as a cassette tape.

    • Sound Quality: Analog - Hi-Fi Cassette
    • Static Interference: None
    • Decibel Loss: Low

    FAQ's

Q: Can I use my Stiletto portable receiver in the car without the vehicle dock?

A: If you're using the FM Transmitter to broadcast the Stiletto signal to the car stereo, and are still getting static, please see our "Sound Quality in your Car" guide.

Q: Is the FM Transmitter located in the Stiletto unit itself?
A: No, the FM Transmitter is located in the Stiletto Vehicle Dock that is part of the Stiletto Vehicle Kit.
